Simla Conference, June 25, 1945. In May 1945, Lord Wavell, the Viceroy of India, went to London and discussed his ideas about the future of India with the British administration. A plan was formulated which was made public in June 1945. It is known as Wavell Plan (It suggested reconstitution of the Viceroy’s Executive Council in which the Viceroy was to select persons nominated by the political parties. Different communities were also to get their due share in the Council and parity was reserved for Cast-Hindus and Muslims).
To discuss these proposals, Wavell called for a conference at Simla on June 25, 1945. Leaders of both the Congress and the Muslim League attended the conference, which is known as the Simla Conference. However, differences arose between the two parties on the issue of representation of the Muslim community. The Muslim League claimed that it was the only representative party of the Muslims and all the representatives in the Viceroy’s Executive Council should be the nominated by them. Congress, which had sent Maulana Azad as the leader of their delegation, tried to prove that their party represented all the communities living in India and thus should be allowed to nominate Muslim representative as well. Congress also opposed the idea of parity between the Cast-Hindus and the Muslims. All this resulted in a deadlock. Finally, Wavell announced the failure of his efforts on July 14.

It’s wonderful collection about Quaid-e-Azam. These are so interesting photos. Excellent!! Thanks for the effort. I love Pakistan.
The historical speech of 11 August 1947 is missing from the archive Native Pakistan, why ? no reason is also not appended, because it shows that Quad’s liberalism towards all communities including minorities living in Pakistan or opting for Pakistan. There was no such agreement for, while partition of India dividing the Punjab and Bengal provinces on basis of population Muslims and Hindus. So, there was very large exodus uprooting millions on the either side of divide with million killing ruthlessly on either side of divide. The wounds of that tragedy still fresh after third generations. It was human’s tragedy which could not be forgotten and either side of divide politically cautious and liberal thinking called it a disaster so many books had appeared in the horizon of Indian subcontinent calling it a folly committed by Jinnah of Pakistan. If it could be reality then on 16 December 1971, two nation theory of Muslim League was buried at Dhaka, where it was created on 6 December 1906 at Dhaka by Nawab Vaquar ul Mulk, the first president of All India Muslim League, it was also shared by all well to do Muslim community, including, Sir Agha Khan the first. It was noted down with apathy from all well aware Muslims of India, believing in liberalism and democratic values. So, religious revolutionary called it Muslim League was Nawabs’ party, mostly feudalism’s in Punjab, the Unionists were faithful and loyal to British Empire, opposed it with tooth and nail, when, the slogan of now and never was popular especially, in Punjab, those were hired by Jinnah of Pakistan, all Muslim’s majority provinces passed resolution for joining with Pakistan except Punjab, Jinnah of Pakistan had to approach to All India Congress members of legislative assembly to vote for Pakistan and were given surety that nothing would be disturb for exchange of Population on basis of religion, in this connection he on 11 August 1947 addressed the nominated constituent assembly, the historical speech for safe guarding minorities, it was guard lines for framing the constitution on secularism, as he himself was a secular in mind set..

Very nice collection of Quaid’s photos.
Can someone exhibit Quaid’s photos at Kohala Murree and Rwp in 1944?
Great and rare collection
Jinnah was a giant on the subcontinent’s political scene and considering the daunting difficulties he encountered and overcame, his epic achievement -the creation of Pakistan- dwarfed anything his contemporaries were able to realize.
This is really a great collection of rare photographs of our beloved Quaid. I have really enjoyed each and every picture of this collection. Great effort indeed!
Excellent collection..a great effort.
Thanks.
An excellent collection of old and rare photos (images) of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. I appreciate the spirit behind it. But I suspect that a picture of man laying on the bench is not of our Quaid-e-Azam. Our Quaid was the man of unique style and discipline, so I believe that he had never posed in such a style. I think it has been manipulated by someone or attributed being resemble to him. Please review if it is not from authentic source and reference. I have seen many such depicted pictures while in Google search. I am sharing it with good faith and creed, I apology if I am wrong in my judgement.
Very Great effort, to memorize our past and memorize Honorable Great Quaid MA Jinnah. My eyes are full of tears for our beloved Quaid. Ideal of all Pakistanis.
What a priceless collection!! I have not seen many of these pictures before. You have done justice to this part of the Native Pakistan.
Excellent collection I have ever seen on any website.
What a great leader Quaid was!! This is his great respect that a huge crowd around which is without a single penny and without personal interest. How Quaid crossed the 7 rupees of Fatima Jinnah’s chair from baitulmal’s fund. It’s a lesson for our today’s shameless leaders.
Our continue prayers are always with the soul of Great Hazrat Quaid-e-Azam, R.A.
Great historical moments to be remembered by new generation of Pakistan.
