  1. In researching family history I have learned that my ancestor, Private Henry Hawkins, serving with the 11th Hussars, died at Sialkot in 1898. The British Association for Cemeteries in South Asia has informed me that he is buried in East Cemetery, Sialkot. In addition, the men of his regiment who died in service in the area are commemorated on a plaque in the Holy Trinity church in Sialkot.

I have tried to contact the church online but the email address may be out of date as I have received no reply.

I would be very grateful if you could forward my email to anyone who may be able to help. It would mean a lot to me and my family to have a photograph of the church plaque with Henry Hawkins’ name.

Thank you so much for your kind attention to my request. If you have no way to contact Holy Trinity please let me know so that I may continue to pursue other avenues.
