  1. Maurice / (Bob) Abel says:

The Cathedral High School, Hall Road Lahore, was where I attended from Grade One to Senior Cambridge, before joining the British Baluchistan Police Force @ Quetta, Baluchistan in 1954.
Great education in the British tradition.
Attached to the Anglican School the beautiful Cathedral Protestant Church, where we attended prayers daily.
Ah! Those were the days !!

Yes, it is still there keeping it’s head high in contemporary times of bigotry and religious intolerance. I too happen to be lucky to trod the same august portals. I lived just next door. The school and my home shared a common wall. I was in the school from Nursery to Senior Cambridge – 1960 till 1971. It appeared vast once, but now when one re-visits it appears constricted of space and in rather shoddily kept by the local Eurasians.
The annual Christmas Tableau in the Cathedral was an acoustic and visual experience for a young mind. I still have not gotten over the experience of this great parochial establishment.
May Allah Bless my teachers and their parents for all times to come. Ameen. F
