The FATA (Federally Administered Tribal Areas) is a semi-autonomous tribal region in the northwest of Pakistan. The FATA comprises seven agencies ( Bajaur Agency, Mohmand Agency, Khyber Agency, Orakzai Agency, Kurram Agency, North Waziristan Agency and South Waziristan Agency) and six frontier regions (Frontier Region Peshawar, Frontier Region Kohat, Frontier Region Bannu, Frontier Region Lakki Marwat, Frontier Region Tank and Frontier Region Dera Ismail Khan). The territory is governed through the Frontier Crimes Regulations.
