  1. Maj Ubaid Malik (ABD-2) says:

Thank you very much for the elaborate and dedicated endless efforts for 2nd SSC.

  2. Maj Inam Ullah Khan (ABD-2) says:

In the sad moments after I wrote the few words earlier, I’m reminded of a short verse which goes like, ‘Mujh say roodad-e-chaman kehtay na darr aye humdam, giri hai jis pay kal bijli woh mera ashiyaan kyun ho.’

Thank you so much Cheema, you have certainly brought us closer once again. The loss of each comrade feels like one’s very own personal loss.

  3. Maj Inam Ullah Khan (ABD-2) says:

Looking at the Group Photo zooms one into the long cherished memory of the beautiful time we all shared once. However, the thought of those who have crossed over to the eternal side of life leaves you sad. May Allah bless their souls in peace forever and I join Col Zafar Mustafa in the prayer for their families. Ameen.

  4. Major M Ejaz Baig (SSH-1) says:

Heart starts sinking on learning about their demise. May Allah bless their souls with eternal peace. Aameen.

  5. Maj Mushtaq-ur-Rehman (ABD-2) says:

    Cheema Jee!
I like and do appreciate your effort. Well done and keep it up.

  6. Capt (R) M.Tariq Z Rahmani (ABD-5) says:

What a classic memory! May ALLAH bless bakhshish and peace to the deceased brothers of ABD-2. I attended funeral of Zafar at Peshawar. He tried over 10 yrs in Hollywood, USA to sell stories written by him along with serving as a county cop there. Munawar Khan Mohmand knows complete details. My salam to all ABD-2 brothers and other 2nd SSC brothers.

  7. Lt Col Zubair Ahmed (ABD-3) says:

Waqt Bohat Tez Gam Chalta Hai. Despite my earnest desire to meet Zafar Mehmood after we left PMA, today is the first time that I heard of him and hearing of his sad demise broke my heart. May Almighty bless all these souls and the families they have left behind.

  8. Capt Shafquat Ullah Khan (SSH-4) says:

Buddies, Afsar, Zafar and Zaki, rest in peace!! Ameen.

  9. Lt Col (R) Zafar Mustafa (Abdali Coy Comd) says:

I am deeply grieved to learn about the untimely demise of Afsar, Zaki-uz-Zaman (whom I met in Karachi about 14 years ago) and Zafar Mehmood, whom I met in Landi Kotal Bazar in 1973. I remember that Zafar’s respected father was a blind person and his family was settled in Peshawar. I also remember Afsar’s respected father meeting me after the Passing Out Parade and telling me how he had brought up and educated Afsar with his meagre income. I pray that the departed souls rest in eternal peace and fervently hope that their families are living comfortably in these hard times.
